In the most forceful language to date, President Trump warned the so-called "Migrant caravans" approaching the US Border to "turn around and go home. They're wasting their time; they're not getting in."
When asked by a reporter if U.S. Troops would be shooting at these Migrants, Trump was explicitly clear: "If they throw rocks, we will consider it a firearm."
Here's the segment of the full press conference held at the White House earlier today, containing the specific remarks about shooting at migrants if they try throwing rocks at US military troops the same way they did just days ago against Mexican troops:
Also during this same press conference, but not included in the video segment above, the President declared he was ENDING "catch-and-release" saying the Army Corps of Engineers is building gigantic tent cities to hold illegal aliens in custody until their Immigration hearing, after which they will be directly deported.
The President pointed out that under the old policy, immigrants were given a court date and set free into our land. According to the President, only about three percent (3%) of those immigrants ever bothered to show up for their immigration hearing. That is ending.
(HT Remark: Kudos to President Trump for laying down the law like this. No other US President has been so clear, so consistent and so blunt. This is exactly the kind of message the US has needed to send for years. I'm glad this is being done.)
