SYRIA DECLARES WAR ON TURKEY

The Syrian government has DECLARED WAR upon Turkey over invasion of northern Syria by Turkish armed forces.

The Syrian Arab Army is now moving to attack the Turks inside Syria.

This is a major story which will be updated.

CONFIRMATION: Syrian state media report that the SAA are moving north to confront the invading Turkish military.

VIDEO STATEMENT:

Official statement of #Syria Arab Army: Soon, the SAA will enter Qamishli, Manbij & other cities to prevent their fall into hands of Turkish. They will also confront terrorists in Ras al-Ayn & Tal Abyad. SAA will defend the Kurds against Erdogan

UPDATE 2:54 PM EDT --

"Seeing multiple reports that the Kurds have reached a deal with Assad, whereby Assad's forces would enter Manbij and Kobani to protect Kurds from Turkey attack"

Russian forces in Syria confirm agreement with Kurds for Assad regime to enter Kobani

UPDATE 3:03 PM EDT --

The General Command of the Army and Armed Forces of Syria declares that units from the Syrian Army have entered Manbij and raised the Syrian flag there.

Coalition contact confirms SDF have made a deal with the Syrian government. The last few days have been brutal. Mazloum met with the Russians. It is unclear at this stage whether it's just for Manbij and Kobane or a much-wider deal.

Syria government is going to aid the Kurds in NE Syria. It is now confirmed by SDF official. In few hours, Assad will send troops to support YPG/Rojava/SDF & prevent Turkish occupation of Kobani, Manbij & Qamishli!

"Hearing it’s a much, *much* wider deal than just those two cities. Not sure when it will be announced though"

UPDATE 3:06 PM EDT --

It's very early and the situation is very fluid.

But it may be that we see a full scale Kurdish surrender to the Assad regime tonight.

Abandoned by the US, it looks like SDF will try to spare their cities from Turkish onslaught by allowing Syrian forces to take them over.

*****BULLETIN *****

UPDATE 3:10 PM EDT --

Russia Imposes NO FLY ZONE over MANBIJ and Kobane to stop Turkish air strikes.  Turks informed they may not fly in those areas and will be engaged by Syrian/Russian surface-to-air missiles if they fail to comply.

Hal Turner Analysis

"Nightmare scenario... the US forces withdrawing from NE Syria is just the beginning. Because the remaining US forces in Syria are holding the line against Iranian forces near the border with Israel.

Another scenario... The Kurds new alliance with Damascus brings Syrian forces face to face with Turkish forces.

President Erdogan gets the war with President Assad he’s been aching for. Iran backs Assad. Turkey is a member of NATO... what other countries are pulled in?  Maybe NONE because Turkey entered Syria.  Turkey cannot claim to have been "attacked."  NATO has no obligation.

UPDATE 3:30 PM EDT --

It's official

AFP news reports:

Kurds have announced they have reached a deal with Assad for protection.

Self Administration of NE Syria announces an agreement with Syrian Government to protect Syrian borders with SDF against Turkey. It will also help liberating all areas from Turkey including Afrin

UPDATE 5:34 PM EDT--

Pro-Turkish forces cut off the main road between the east and west of Syrian Kurdish territory Sunday, effectively cutting off the main city of Kobani.

The move blocks the main highway -- and perhaps only route -- to Kobani, where US troops are based.

Turkish military armored personnel carriers on the M4 highway between Tal Tamr and Ain Issa, parked by the side of the road. Further reinforcements made their way through the dust towards the dozen armored vehicles, parked 10 meters (about 30ft) from the road.

Meanwhile, a US official said American forces in Syria had yet to receive a formal order to withdraw, but were preparing to do so.

The official added that the situation on the ground is deteriorating rapidly in northeast Syria, and confirmed that Turkish proxies, which the official describes as including "extremists," have advanced along the M4 highway setting up multiple checkpoints.

He said these proxy forces were wearing SDF uniforms and killing civilians on the highway. US Forces and SDF no longer control ground lines of communication or Turkish aircraft flying overhead.

"US forces are at risk of being isolated and there is increased risk of confrontation between Turkish proxies and US forces unless Turkey halts their advance immediately," the official said.

more . . .

Major development, SDF agrees to hand over NE Syria to Assad. Syrian army is on the move to Manbij, Ain Issa, Kobani and all of NE Syria.

UPDATE 6:25 PM EDT --

Erdogan's adviser Yasin Aktay spoke to the Russian news agency Sputnik Arabic:

"If the Syrian Army tries to enter the northeast of Syria, Turkey will resist. It may come to a conflict between the two armies.

If Turkish military and Syrian military start to fight it could be interesting. We should know in 24 to 48 hours.

(Perhaps Erdogan's adviser isn't aware that the Syrians are already on their way with the stated purpose of engaging the Turkish Army?)

UPDATE 7:01 PM EDT --

US troops notified the Syrian Army they need more time to remove some heavy weapons, (sensitive) documents and other military equipment.

Full control to the SAA first thing in the morning.

UPDATE 9:32 PM EDT --

U.S. President Donald Trump has ordered all U.S. troops to withdraw from Syria amid conflicts between Turkey and Kurdish forces, Defense Secretary Mark Esper said Sunday.

As clashes between invading Turkish-led forces and Kurdish fighters intensified, the Kurdish administration in Syria said that 785 people affiliated with the Islamic State escaped from a camp holding about 12,000 displaced people, including woman and children.

I don't know where the Turks think this is going. When Russia invaded Georgia a few years back, NATO countries did nothing. While Georgia is not a NATO member, it is a staunch US ally and was seeking to join NATO. However, it is naïve to think that the United States would go to war with Russia for the sake of Georgia.

So much less so for Turkey, who while a NATO member (for now), has hardly been a good friend in recent years and is the one guilty of kicking up all this crap. World War III for Turkey's sake? Hardly worth it.

Oil pipeline or not, I agree that the Americans ought to write this one off now.

Whatever the differences between all three of them, I think the United States, China and Russia have all suffered at the hands of Islam and in that regard they have a common enemy. Of all the issues that will come between them, they should not let Muslim countries be thorns in their sides.

The ejection of turkey from NATO is underway............

The empire is likely to follow with heavy sanctions that will cripple the turkish economy, which is already in steep decline.

The EU's companies that are in turkey may well end up closing up shop and moving to Syria.

So October 13 turned out to be a date of significance, as predicted by one of Steve Quayle's trusted contacts...maybe this is what escalates into a regional war. Turkey (or whoever) might false flag an attack on Israel by what will appear to be Syrian gov't forces. Then Israel would likely use disproportionate force against Syria (nuke Damascus?)...at that point, everyone in the region would gang up on Israel after Trump drops Israeli support. This won't end well...

"Disproportionate force" is when Jews do what everyone else would call "winning a war", right?

If the pro turkish forces decides to attack the U.S. special forces and takes them out, i wonder if trump will just let it slide and do more pansy sanctions on turkey, or will he grow a pair and be a war horse like President Reagan.

Turkey started the aggression, so they have no right to mutual assistance from NATO. Hopefully, Assad will give Turkey the business.

With a formal declaration of war from Syria, Russia may very well get involved now. The problem with this, is that for better or mostly worse, Turkey is still a NATO member and can invoke their mutual defense pact, which puts the US and other NATO countries in direct conflict with Russia. This could very well begin WWIII.

With Turkey being the apparent aggressor, the other NATO states are not obligated to get involved, and given the souring relationship between Turkey and the west in recent years, I doubt any of the other NATO states really want to go to war with Russia for Turkey's sake.

(By the way, do you know whether this really was a formal declaration of war in the classic sense? There technically has not been a formal state of war anywhere since 1945. If you are right, this indeed could be a serious game-changer.)

Things will really get interesting over there now. The Syrian Army is not even ALL Syrians anymore. Their army was decimated during 8 years of civil war and now a huge percentage of their ranks are pro-Iranian proxies. Both nations have close ties to Russia. Be interesting to see how Putin reacts to this.
