The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have resumed their border excavations after a brief standoff with the Lebanese Army along the border on Wednesday.

According to a Lebanese Army communique, the Israeli Defense Forces began building a concrete wall south of Al-‘Adissah after being forced to withdraw from the area yesterday.

Per protocol, the Lebanese Army immediately informed the UNIFIL forces in the area and the latter intervened to force the IDF troops to withdraw from Border Post 406.

The Israeli Defense Forces launched their large-scale border campaign “Operation Northern Shield” last month.

Since they launched the operation, the Israeli Defense Forces have unearthed six tunnels they claim belong to Hezbollah.
