Cruise Ships QUARANTINED in Hong Kong - "Coronavirus"

Thousands of passengers and crew on two cruise ships in Asian waters were placed in quarantine on Wednesday, as the death toll from an outbreak of a fast-spreading coronavirus, a Bio-weapon leaked from a Chinese laboratory in Wuhan, continues to rise.

About 3,700 people are facing at least two weeks locked away on a cruise liner anchored off Japan after health officials confirmed on Wednesday that 10 people aboard had tested positive for the virus.

Princess Cruises has just confirmed that 251 Canadians are currently aboard a cruise ship that is being quarantined near Japan. 10 people aboard the Diamond Princess have tested positive for Coronavirus

In Hong Kong, more than 1,800 passengers and crew were confined to their cruise ship docked in the city during tests for the virus, after three people on board had earlier tested positive.

Passengers on the ship off Japan, the Diamond Princess, detailed their predicament on social media, posting pictures of officials in masks and gowns conducting health checks, room service meals, empty corridors, and a barren deck.

China’s National Health Commission said another 65 people had died as of Tuesday, a new daily record taking the toll on the mainland to 490, most in and around the locked-down central city of Wuhan, where the virus emerged late last year.

There have been two deaths outside mainland China, both following visits to Wuhan. A man in the Philippines died last week, and a 39-year-old man with underlying illness died in Hong Kong on Tuesday.

I work in the cruise line industry. Something like this is a nightmare for any company and the impact on the industry is huge. I remember after 9-11 where it spooked people into not traveling for a while, anywhere by plane. This caused the cruise line industry to falter. Many smaller companies and at least one large cruise line company went out of business. Ships are notorious for catching a bug and having issues. What most don't think about is the fact that after using the toilet, people pull up their pants then wash their hands. The pants are contaminated and somewhere the person pulls up or touches their pants again thereby contaminating their hands which touches knobs, rails, dishes, tables etc. Once a virus gets on board, its a bitch to get rid of let me tell you.

    OFF TOPIC:

(I apologize, but I don't know where else to post this in this forum)

Does anybody know what Rush Limbaugh was signifying last night, with his arms and fists, after receiving the Medal of Freedom during President Trump's State of The Union speech?

One was the truckers sign for 'honk your horn' (up and down motion with arm with clinched fist) the other was a 'stick it to em' sign with the fist closed and the arm going back and forth forward. The last was the 'you touch my heart' sign over the left shoulder. I think Rush was overwhelmed with the moment. He didn't know what to do.

That official White House recording doesn't actually begin for a full half hour, but you can use your cursor to jump ahead past the half hour point.

Note that TWO (02) of the three United States Army generals were wearing the "Screaming Eagle" patches on their right sleeve, indicating combat service with the 101st Airborne Division.

That was MY unit when I was in the war in the old Republic of Viet Nam (i.e., a "STAR WARS" movie fan, I love referring to, "the old Republic"!).

    Update......

The biggest hit to the narrative and China's officially reported epidemic numbers came overnight, when a slip up in China's TenCent may have revealed the true extent of the coronavirus epidemic on the mainland. And it is nothing short than terrifying.
As the Taiwan Times reports in a report first spotted by user @IN_174, over the weekend, Tencent "seems to have inadvertently released what is potentially the actual number of infections and deaths, which were astronomically higher than official figures", and were far closer to the catastrophic epidemic projections made by Jonathan Read.
According to the report, late on Saturday evening, Tencent, on its webpage titled "Epidemic Situation Tracker", showed confirmed cases of novel coronavirus (2019nCoV) in China as standing at 154,023, 10 times the official figure at the time. It listed the number of suspected cases as 79,808, four times the official figure.
And while the number of cured cases was only 269, well below the official number that day of 300, most ominously, the death toll listed was 24,589, vastly higher than the 300 officially listed that day.
If and that's a big if either way these other numbers are the correct ones, that's a mortality of 16%, but that's also based on those that were actually diagnosed with nCov. This doesn't include those that were not sick enough to go to the hospital, so it's less than 16%, just don't know how much lower.

Maybe this virus is so apocalyptic that WHO has instructed China not to reveal the numbers to keep world panic at a minimum, because if the world actually knew, there would be world chaos. Its a legit possibility.

Im curious to see what happens by feb 16. Hal says china will be collapsed. He also says that All distribution of supplies will be stopped. He says months ahead we could possibly be facing a near level of extinction. Wouldnt it be nice to have the power to see in the future and see what the worlds gonna be like ..

I want to know the worst case and be prepared and then hope that it does not happen. You can not assume the that the communists are going to tell the truth until they are caught and even then they probably won't tell the truth.

I think at least one zero needs to be added to those numbers to be in the ballpark of reality.

That looks way more in line with the other information coming out of China. And I imagine those are only the numbers that are being collected (the higher numbers).

The 10 positive were against 31 passengers tested. That's 30%.

For those who haven't figured it out yet, how much or little the mainstream media covers any particular issue or problem, is always inversely proportional to it's actual level of importance. Case in point, I saw one of the first stories on my local news this morning which specifically mentioned the Coronavirus. According to this so called *news story*, the Coronavirus wasn't really all that dangerous and most any risk of catching it could be mitigated by washing your hands more and getting a flu shot.

Based on this information, two hypotheses can be formulated:

      1) The Chinese have really dirty hands, and/or

      2) There is no flu shot in China.
